ALEXANDRIA'S ALCHEMY

ALEXANDRIA'S ALCHEMY

“The concept of writing as a magical act is not far-fetched. At its core, a spell is essentially a declaration to the universe for specific outcomes.”

Recently, a conversation with my father led me to a profound revelation. He mentioned an intriguing historical fact: the suppression of reading and writing among African American people was rooted in a deep understanding of their transformative power. This insight sparked a reflection on the true essence of writing and speaking in shaping our lives.

For me, writing has always been more than a form of expression; it’s a manifestation tool. I’ve repeatedly experienced the potency of putting pen to paper. Over the past 10-15 years, I’ve discovered old lists and notes detailing my desires and goals. To my amazement, many of those aspirations have slowly materialized into reality. This personal evidence reinforces a powerful truth: writing holds the power to bring our intentions into existence.

The concept of writing as a magical act is not far-fetched. At its core, a spell is essentially a declaration to the universe for specific outcomes. Whether we’re aware of it or not, our words—written or spoken—function as spells that influence our reality. The power of the written word to manifest our desires aligns with the ancient practice of spellcraft, where intention and language combine to shape our world.

This notion also resonates with a biblical principle: “There is life and death in the power of the tongue.” I’ve learned to be exceptionally mindful of my words, avoiding negative affirmations or casual self-deprecation. For instance, I recall a past lover who frequently spoke morbidly about himself. Tragically, he passed away at a young age, a stark reminder of the impact our words can have on our lives. Similarly, the untimely deaths of many rappers who rapped about their own demise highlight how the language we use can influence our fate.

Our words hold the capacity to shape our experiences and reality. If we view our speech as a powerful wand, capable of bending time and space, we should be intentional about what we conjure. Instead of resorting to self-deprecating or limiting language, we should strive to speak positivity and empowerment into our lives and those around us.

From this day forward, I encourage you to use your words wisely. Treat your speech as a magical tool, capable of transforming your reality. Speak goodness, affirm your aspirations, and embrace the power of prayer and positive intention. By consciously choosing to elevate your language, you elevate your life, aligning your reality with the highest expressions of your desires.

In essence, the act of writing and speaking is not just about communication—it’s a dynamic process of creation. Harness this power to shape a reality that reflects your true desires and aspirations.
