Grounded Spirituality | Practical Steps for Navigating Life’s Complexity

The Beauty of Simplicity in Spirituality

As I continue my journey through spirituality, one truth keeps revealing itself to me: internal guidance is profoundly simple.

Yet, as spiritualists, we often have a tendency to overcomplicate things. There’s an innate desire to dig deeper, to uncover layers, and to find profound meanings that aren’t always necessary. But what if the answers we seek are already here—simple, clear, and waiting for us to notice?

In my experience, truth is elusive. It shifts, morphs, and adapts depending on our perspective. Each viewpoint is like flipping to a new chapter in a “choose your adventure” novel, with every path leading to unique consequences. It’s challenging to find stability when you realize how malleable reality can be.

That’s where simplicity becomes my anchor.

Grounding in Simplicity

When things feel overwhelming, I remind myself to simplify. To see life as it is, and then decide where I want to add color. Context can be embellished or altered by our feelings and projections—and that’s perfectly okay. It’s within these feelings and projections that we gain insight into the state of our minds.

So, I ask myself: What color palette am I using to paint my inner and outer worlds? Is it bleak and gray, or vibrant with textures and shimmer?

The beauty of life is its complexity, but even that complexity can be navigated with simplicity.

SIMPLE GUIDANCE FOR BIG SHIFTS

Recently, I sat at my altar and meditated. During that time, a simple yet profound message came to me: continue your studies. Of course, this made sense because my exam is coming up, but its simplicity struck me. That same day, a red cardinal began slamming itself against our bedroom window. It was relentless in the morning, almost like a wake-up call.

Curious, I looked up the symbolism of a red cardinal. As expected, there were varying interpretations, but one stood out: it represented good luck, preparedness, and a gift. Needless to say, it felt like a good omen—a small but powerful encouragement.

Oddly enough, the simple habit of dedicating time to my studies has begun to ripple into other areas of my life. I’ve found myself waking up earlier, attending my Pilates classes more consistently, keeping my home clean, and addressing tasks promptly instead of procrastinating.

Here’s the thing—I don’t have to do any of this. I could choose to sleep in all day, overeat, stay in bed, clean less (or hire someone to do it for me), and skip pursuing this certification altogether. No one is forcing me. But there’s a distinct energy right now—a push into action, a drive to keep moving.

What’s different this time is the why. I’m not doing these things to meet expectations, impress others, or respond to subconscious triggers. I’m doing them for me. You see how a simple tangible action can shift you into more self love and discipline, like dominoes?

The Dance Between Spirituality and the Practical

As someone deeply immersed in spiritual practices, I’ve come to see the importance of balancing the spiritual with the practical. Lately, I’ve been embodying this balance through Saturn energy—an influence that has encouraged me to ground myself.

Here’s what that looks like: Keeping my surroundings clean and organized. Studying during the day to expand my knowledge. Tending to my roles as a wife and mother. Prioritizing self-care and even glamour magic. Creating experiences that enrich my life.

These are tangible, practical actions that, in their simplicity, are deeply spiritual. They remind me to live life fully, to step out of the waiting room of indecision, and to keep moving forward while aligning my energy with my manifestations.

Synchronicities and Subtle Miracles

In this practice of grounding, I’ve started noticing the synchronicities. Small reminders of my divinity—seemingly insignificant to others—feel monumental to me. They are powerful affirmations of my alignment, and they make me smile as I remember who I am.

In conversations with others, I share these subtle miracles and offer guidance. Ase. It’s simple, and it resonates. People listen because simplicity speaks louder than complexity.

The Magic in the Mundane

As spiritualists, we often get lost in rituals, mantras, and techniques that feel external to us. But in reality, the most profound magic often lies in the mundane and within. Even my ancestor reverence has been a lesson in simplicity. Their messages are clear: Clean your home today. Get your finances in order. Study.

These simple, practical actions support my current story and this incarnation.

Embracing Change

This week is significant for me. Opportunities I’ve been preparing for—or that have fallen into my lap—are aligning to shift the trajectory of my life. These aren’t grand, glamorous changes but important stepping stones. Things I once considered unattainable are now within reach.

The guidance here is simple: Don’t squander the opportunity.

A Reflection for You

I encourage you to reflect on the simple things in your own life: What can you do right now? What is? What isn’t Where do you feel yourself heading in the next week or so?

Ground yourself in these questions. Take each day one step at a time. In simplicity, we find clarity. In clarity, we find our power.

Let the simplicity guide you—and watch how everything unfolds.

FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS?

Another point I briefly mentioned in my previous entry is the importance of stepping out of the “waiting room,” understanding karma (cause and effect), and recognizing the power of simple actions to move things forward—rather than relying solely on divine intervention to make things happen. This is a crucial realization.

I often see spiritualists feeling stuck because they forget their own power and instead give it away to something external. They seek permission from outside forces and overlook the fact that they are self-governing beings.

The simple truth is this: it’s all you. You have free will, and no one is coming to save, elevate, or align you. That responsibility—and that power—rests entirely within you.
