ALEXANDRIA'S ALCHEMY

ALEXANDRIA'S ALCHEMY

Recently, I woke up to a text from an old friend. We used to be inseparable, running around LA together, attending runway shows, private events, and even ending up in billionaire mansions. It was a good time—until he discarded me over something trivial. He believed I was making a move without him. We reconciled but it was never the same.

Fast forward to today, he has amassed a million followers, dressed countless celebrity clients, and built a name for himself. I felt happy for his success. But that text foreshadowed an epiphany. A quick Google search revealed scandalous allegations about his character. I wasn’t shocked. I had observed him embellishing, lying, and even stealing. While we shared incredible memories, he exposed me to a type of man who would use anyone to climb higher. In hindsight, I sensed he wanted to groom me into being a honeypot—something I was never going to entertain. I wasn’t interested in drug use, being his accessory, or immersing myself in his web. And that is why I call this post Sovereign Beauty.

Later that day, I stumbled upon a YouTube video about Denise Matthews, better known as Vanity. Since my pre-teen years, I have been drawn to her energy. We even exchanged words on Facebook long before her passing. Vanity’s relationship with Prince was eerily similar to my old friendship. Prince, known for his genius, was also manipulative—discarding those who no longer served his purpose. Vanity saw through him. She refused to be a pawn in his sexualized agenda, even if it meant sacrificing her role in Purple Rain. She prioritized her autonomy, walking away from something that could have skyrocketed her career. She chose to be a Sovereign Beauty.

Though my friendship wasn’t romantic, the energy dynamic was the same.

Speaking of Prince and Vanity, Vanity spoke about the pull of Prince and how they would intentionally trigger each other. They would end up in the same place, wearing similar outfits. And, of course, when Vanity left, Prince continued dating her lookalikes. Oddly enough, they passed away just months apart. It gives toxic Twin Flame/Soul Tie energy. Soon, I’ll write an entry on how to physically, spiritually, and emotionally break the bond.

The Art of Sovereignty

As an alchemist, I never overidentify with anyone or anything—especially men who are self-serving. Straight, gay, romantic, platonic—it doesn’t matter. Even women who carry an overly masculine energy can play this role. If you are a beautiful woman, people will attempt to poach you, place you in their world as an object, a trophy, or a decoration. The moment you refuse to comply, you become disposable.

The key is to never overidentify with anyone or anything outside of yourself. If you feel cheated or depleted, it’s because you momentarily forgot your role in your own story. You chose to be a supporting character in someone else’s grand production.

How to Be a Sovereign Beauty

Always remember you are the main character. Your story is yours. Never let anyone reduce you to an extra in their life.

Don’t put anyone or anything on a pedestal. Everyone has flaws. Idolizing someone only sets you up for disillusionment.

Temper your fear of missing out. Just because an opportunity glitters doesn’t mean it’s gold. Sometimes, walking away is the real power move.

Treat shady characters accordingly. Say no when needed. If you must engage, do so with full awareness of the game being played.

Always ensure you are benefiting from the situation. If you are constantly giving while receiving nothing, it’s time to reassess.

Never be afraid to let go or say goodbye. Detachment is a superpower. Clinging to toxic relationships drains your energy and self-worth.

Take note of how people treat others. If they discard or use others, don’t assume you are an exception. Your turn will come.

Keep your identity and unique qualities intact. Never let someone mold you into something that contradicts your essence.

Never rep others too hard. Loyalty should be reciprocal, not blind.

Keep a healthy distance from others’ affairs. Involvement in unnecessary drama will only serve to distract and drain you.

To be a Sovereign Beauty is to own your power, refuse manipulation, and remain untouchable by those who seek to exploit your presence. Protect your energy. Maintain your autonomy. And always, always be the main character in your own life.
